Tinubu: Angry Nigerians Takes The Streets, Demand Tinubu’s Arrest (Photos)

Some angry Nigerians have taken to the streets in Abuja to protest over two bullion vans spotted at Bola Tinubu residence in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city. AMP recalls that an image of two bullion vans heading into Tinubu’s Bourdillon residence surfaced online prior to the 2019 general elections. Tinubu’s Bourdillon residence is in Ikoyi, Lagos state. Reacting to the development at the time, Tinubu, who is the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, had said he was neither a government contractor nor a worker with any government parastatal and that there was no iota of truth in the allegation that he had bullion vans in his house distributing money. Tinubu had said: “I am not a government contractor, and I don’t have bullion vans because I don’t store ballot papers. If I may ask, where am I voting now? This is not my house. Nigerian Students Won't Write 2020 WAEC - FG

The Federal Ministry of Education has said Nigerian secondary final year students will not be participating in the upcoming West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations. The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, who disclosed this to State House Correspondents on Wednesday after the seventh weekly virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, also said there is no date for resumption of schools in the country yet. He said he would prefer that Nigerian students lose an academic year than to expose them to dangers, appealing to state governments that had announced reopening of schools to reconsider their decision for the sake of the students’ safety. Speaking on the effect the decision to keep schools closed could have on final year secondary school students, due to write the WAEC, Adamu said Nigeria would not open the schools yet, not even for the WAEC, which is a regionally control programme. Popular Nigerian singer, Davido emerged the biggest winner at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2018 held in Accra, Ghana. The ‘Fia’ singer won awards in three categories while his Nigerian counterpart, Eazi, won his in two categories at the event which held on Saturday. Tiwa Savage and Falz also won awards at the 5th All Africa Music Awards, on Saturday night. Davido scooped Africa’s artiste of the year, with his album, FIA. He also won the best male artiste in West Africa. Tiwa Savage won West Africa’s best female artiste and Falz ran away with best African rapper award. The night of honours did not belong solely to the active artistes. There were also awards for Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state and two veterans South African Yvonne Chaka Chaka and Ghana’s Teddy Ossei, the leader of the Osadebe group, created in 1969. Nigerian singer, Wale Turner has slammed veteran singer Danny Young for accusing Tiwa Savage of intellectual property theft. Danny Young who shared a video earlier accusing Tiwa Savage of intellectual property theft, had claimed that the 2018 MTV EMAs award winner used part of his 2009 record, ‘Oju Tiwon’ without seeking permission nor gave him any credit for inspiring her latest single titled ‘One’. Fuji musician, Pasuma commissions ten blocks of classrooms to celebrate his 51st birthday in Mushin

Alabi Pasuma is celebrating his 51st birthday this week, and the Fuji musician has taken time to visit his primary scholl to celebrate it. Pasuma visited his Alma Mata, Muslim Mission Primary School, Mushin, to commission the ten block of classrooms recently renovated by Pasuma Fans Club in the community. Speaking at the event, Pasuma urged the school kids to set their hearts towards achieving their set goals while urging them to pay keen attention to their studies. “I was once like you people because I started from this school. My music career started here and I will always remember having the school as part of my foundation years. “I usually sing in the school with my friends during breaks and I can never forget the impact the school had in my life,”   he said.
