Ronaldo reportedly wants to leave the European champions amid accusations - which the player has denied - that he defrauded Spanish tax authorities out of €14.7million. National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has said Nigeria is not yet a “full-blown” democracy. The former Governor of Lagos stated this over the weekend, when he received the National Icon of Democracy award at the Tell Awards for Excellence. The event was held at the Civic Centre in Victoria Island. Tinubu, who was represented by former Lagos Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dele Alake, said: “This civilian dispensation that we have – we don’t call it full blown democracy. “What we have today is a civilian dispensation. So, our democracy is a work in progress, and we believe by the grace of God that we’ll achieve full blown democracy in our time. “So, every one of us must work towards full blown democracy in Nigeria. We all know the tenets and principles of full blown democracy. And we hope we shall achieve them in our own time in Nigeria.”

The National Youths Service Corps ( NYSC), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other commercial banks have finished up arrangements to dispense N100 million credits to corps individuals. Alternate banks are Bank of Agriculture, Bank of Industry, Heritage Bank, and additionally the NSYC Foundation. As per NYSC Coordinator in Sokoto state, Musa Abubakar, the signal was to empower corps individuals set up little scale endeavors and progress toward becoming bosses of work. Each of the benefittng corps individuals would be given at least N3million and a greatest of N10 million. This was unveiled this Friday at the NYSC Cultural Carnival sorted out to lift peace, solidarity and joining of the country. The bill which is currently on the floor of the house, scaled second reading yesterday June 1st.
