Popular Nigerian singer, Davido emerged the biggest winner at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2018 held in Accra, Ghana. The ‘Fia’ singer won awards in three categories while his Nigerian counterpart, Eazi, won his in two categories at the event which held on Saturday. Tiwa Savage and Falz also won awards at the 5th All Africa Music Awards, on Saturday night. Davido scooped Africa’s artiste of the year, with his album, FIA. Alabi Pasuma is celebrating his 51st birthday this week, and the Fuji musician has taken time to visit his primary scholl to celebrate it. Pasuma visited his Alma Mata, Muslim Mission Primary School, Mushin, to commission the ten block of classrooms recently renovated by Pasuma Fans Club in the community. Speaking at the event, Pasuma urged the school kids to set their hearts towards achieving their set goals while urging them to pay keen attention to their studies. “I was once like you people because I started from this school. My music career started here and I will always remember having the school as part of my foundation years. “I usually sing in the school with my friends during breaks and I can never forget the impact the school had in my life,”   he said.

Nigerian singer, actor, Banky W’s car has finally sold his his 2008 Range Rover SUV through an auction that was held yesterday in Lagos. Banky, weeks ago through an open letter, revealed he would be auctioning the vehicle off and donate the proceeds to charity. He however announced early last week that the auction will hold on November 24th, which was yesterday. The sale finally held and Head of Sony Music West Africa, Mr Michael Ugwu, won the bid to purchase the historic vehicle. Kanye West  is currently on a giving spree. The rapper who hired private firefighters to protect his $60million pound mansion during the California wildfires has reportedly donated $500,000 to the Californian Fire Relief fund. This comes after the rapper donated $150,000 to the heartbroken family of Chicago security guard,  Jemel Roberson , who police shot dead after they mistook him as a shooter. According to TMZ, Kim tells host Ellen DeGeneres, the couple had a ‘serious discussion’ on how to help the community, with Kanye coming up with a plan of action. Kanye is said to have called up Adidas and his own Yeezy brand to build up donations, raising a staggering $500,000. The publication also reported that his wife Kim Kardashian will further donate $200,000 to California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund and a $200,000 check to the California Fire Foundation.

Babcock University Students Association has confirmed that Nigerian singer, Kizz Daniel, who was held hostage by students of the University for refusing to perform after he was reportedly paid N3.5m, has returned the money. Yesterday it was reported that the superstar was held hostage by students of the institution after allegedly collecting N3m for a show and failing to show up for his performance. Now, Babcock University Student Association (BUSA) has released official statement explaining what went down and further said KIzz Daniel has returned the money he was paid to perform. According to them, Kizz Daniel arrived late because he had just returned from Dubai and no specific time was agreed between both parties at the time of negotiation. ‘We send our sincere apologies to Kizz Daniel and the students of Babcock University for any inconvenience experienced.
